I have ridden in a limo,
on a motorcycle, in
private jet,
run,
jogged,
walked,
hitched,
danced,
had fun with a suffering ‘titled’
Princess, from the UK,
been to Stanford, Harvard and even Oxford.
What does that all mean…
I get around!
I went out the heirs to this and that
Been hungry
Lived as if I were from old money
Laughed as if I knew what I was doing
Or what had been done
As if I gave time and energy;
Permission
To be in the middle of life
Then while looking up
I find myself being
happy I did the steps
That gave me time to
talk with Janice, ate a
peanut butter sandwich
In New Orleans
Danced with Little Richard
Swayed with Al Hirt as he played
Laughed into the newest Bo Jangles
sweet brown eyes
On the corner of Bourbon Street
As I stood in the doorway of the 577 Club

Random Thoughts
In thought
Quiet as if a soft moving melody
Walking in the morning
Singing as if no one were about
Almost dancing
Almost gliding
Taking a picture
Photographing my energy
In visual
They are longings that will be seen once again
It’s a quiet moment come home to soul
Opening corridors toward
Something unknown
This is a momentary blessing…
Or is it lofty place
Where cumbersome thoughts trickle out
When they have found safety
To be explored..
There are many gifts
In everything
And as I sing them inside
Are they seen or heard from the outside…
